Jenifer Cooper is a third-year MFA student in Scenography. She serves as the Practicum GTA, assisting with crew training, credit tracking, and stage manager coaching.

Jenifer holds a BGS from KU in Theatre, Culture, and Society. 2015 marks her twentieth year as a stage manager, highlighted by her work at the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. She has designed sets, props, costumes, and/or lighting for numerous shows in Kansas City and Lawrence, KS. She has been an independent producer since 1999, and has directed several pieces, notably for Lawrence Opera Theatre and New Fangled Opera (New Orleans). She has presented works in the Kansas City Fringe Festival, both on her own as Lady Or The Tiger Productions, and with the Kansas Theatre Project under Dr. John Gronbeck-Tedesco.

For the University Theatre, she has served as scenic designer for The Maderati (2013) and A Raisin in the Sun (2015); costume designer for The Boys From Syracuse (2014) and Proof (2014); and lighting designer for the Black Box Productions (2014) and Proof (2014).
