Certificates with Theatre Courses

Arts Engagement

The Arts Engagement Certification is designed to equip undergraduate students with the tools they need to become lifelong participants in the arts. In addition to courses, Arts Engagement students will attend events such as exhibitions, performances, concerts, and guest lectures open to all university students.  Attending productions in the University Theatre may count toward this attendance.

Service Learning

Learning by doing is critical to developing life-long skills and competencies. Get beyond the classroom and into your community with the Service Learning program, which consists of two courses, a service project, and reflection paper.

Research Engagement

KU's Research Experience Program acknowledges a student's participation in the full undergraduate research process, from that initial interest in subject material gained through coursework to the design and implementation of an independent project to the presentation of a research or creative product to others.

Global Awareness Certificate

The Global Awareness Program facilitates global engagement through academic coursework, co-curricular involvement, and international experience.  Thanks to its interdisciplinary emphasis and flexibility, GAP prepares students to live, work, and lead in a global society.
