Admission to the Major

As of January 2014, students can declare a major in Theatre without needing to complete admission courses.

It is advised that theatre majors enroll in THR 106 Acting I and THR 101 Theatre Practicum I and complete all 100- and 200-level courses in the first 2 years of study. It is imperative that theatre students sign up for practicum credit early in their careers at KU. See our advising page for more information about Production Practicum.
